Old School
Whipped up a tuna noodle casserole the other night. Forgot to defrost meat and I haven't been to the grocery store in a while. Hollywood was home but crept out before it baked. She had to pick up her charge from daycare. College Boy would rather eat roadkill and he was working.
Inspector Gadget and I grew up on casseroles. We like them. For this one I mixed cooked shell pasta, tuna, orange bell pepper, onion, celery, sun-dried tomato, diced water chestnuts, frozen peas, mushroom soup, mayo, sour cream, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and skim milk. I topped the concoction with panko bread crumbs mixed with grated Asagio cheese. If you top your casseroles with crushed potato chips I want to come live with you. I didn't get a shot of the finished casserole, but it turned out really good.
I love this commercial. Especially the music. I've always been a Johnny Cash fan.
