The practice block I made on the right is the wrong size too, so I may need to revisit that one as well. Maybe I'll just keep making the monthly blocks and throw the two odd-sized blocks on the back side. Hopefully there will only be two odd-sized blocks!
And hopefully I'll quit making silly mistakes like this. Paper piecing keeps you on your toes.
Loved this Boxy Pouch Tutorial by Pretty Modern. Easy. And I barely break a sweat working with zippers now. I've come a long way, baby.
I bought this whole papaya thinking it was some sort of melon. It's the kind with the big, black, round seeds and is called a Maradol papaya. I lead such a sheltered life. After researching, I've found that the seeds are edible. I'll have to try them. I like to eat the papaya with lime juice, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper.

Thank goodness for practice blocks! I learned the hard way that it's worth the time and fabric to do that for tricky blocks.

ReplyDeleteAt least I remembered to take the scaling off and make extra copies. Now to attempt the practice block.
