Pay It Forward!
This is a fun concept for crafters! Most of us are such giving people anyway. It's a Pay it Forward exchange. Here's how it works: you will receive a personal, handmade gift from me, and all you have to do is "pay it forward" and agree to do the same for three people. I was lucky enough to be chosen by the lovely and talented Bumble Beans!
Now I need to find three people to accept my offer.
If you would like to receive a handmade gift from me, and are willing to make and send a handmade gift to three of your blog readers, please let me know in the comments section. Once you accept, you will receive something from me within 365 days. In turn, you will have 365 days to fulfill your end of the bargain.
And if you don't mind, I'd like to link to the three craftsters I pick. More friends in bloggy land, who could ask for anything more?

Meh...
I don't think I'll ever love these types of fabrics, but I did give them a try. I was trying to blatantly copy this, but I couldn't pull it off. Isn't her work wonderful? She can make those subdued fabrics sing! And her hand quilting? Oh my! I was trying to make this for a doll quilt swap, but it's too big (23" x 32"). Guess it's back to the drawing board! Yay!

Inspired...
Raw edge applique miniature quilt. Yesterday's goof off project.
Red Pepper Quilts gave me inspiration this morning. She saw her inspiration here. Quilters are an inspiring bunch aren't they? Not sure what I'll do with this block, but it was very cathartic and a great way to use up those scraps!

Sunday Stash #7
Prairie Gothic by Jane Sassaman. The scale is too large for quilts, but I'll think of something for it! Still practicing with the new toy. Most of the pictures look awful. Especially the ones of me crashing on the couch last night (thanks, Austin). I was waiting for my daughter to get home. Luckily those pictures have been forever deleted.

Tough Life.
Bones, the wonder dog caught in his favorite pose. Until the UPS man rings the bell! Then it's bark city for hours. Anyone want a dachshund?

Another Doll Quilt
This one is going on a long trip! It is for the Doll Quilt Swap I host on the Quilting Board. And sshh...it's a secret. I don't think anyone on the board sees my blog, so I should be okay. September's quilt was a huge challenge. I started with a cute honey bun of Moda's Urban Chiks fabric and tried a technique that wasn't working. Then I decided nine patches would be cute, but there wasn't enough contrast. I finally settled on a log cabin. Way to use the entire honey bun! And of course I used the cutest fabrics first! Oh well! I think it turned out cute and as usual I freaked out when it came time to quilt. How do you quilt log cabins? I practiced some free motion, but that wasn't going well. I think the cross hatching was just the trick and easy enough for me to pull off. Stick a fork in her, she's done!

My Doll Quilt Arrived!
My beautiful quilt from Brittney arrived! It's so cool! Great fabrics. The infamous white contrast. And a super cool back! She even sent some stuff for my kitchen and a pincushion! Check out the cupcake pincushion! Even Mr. Nostalgic Cafe noticed it, which is huge! Looks good enough to eat!

Doll Quilt Swap 7
I finally got up the nerve to join the "big guys" and their doll quilt swap. I've always been so impressed by the designs and variety these quilters come up with. Here's my contri- bution. I sure hope my partner likes it!

My Creative Space
Decided to join in with the Creative Space crowd. I've really enjoyed seeing where everyone creates and what they create. There are some talented people out there. I feel like such a slacker!
Anyhow, I've been busy working on the graphic design side of my office, so the creative side is in a bit of shambles.
Sewing machine (her name is Red) and laptop are self explanatory.
- The boxed Goya Puerto Rican spices are for a swap that's ready to mail.
- The mustard tin and medicine bottle top were recently rescued from recycling (I've turned into a little old lady saving this crap). I do plan on making something from them.
- The Hancocks of Paducah catalog needs to be thrown out. Quickly! Or maybe I'll just have a little peek.
- Magnetic, ladybug, and cake pincushions. I have a pincushion thing.
Off to work so I can afford food and fabric! Have a great day!

Crooked Housez
Two different quilt blocks made from The Crooked Little House pattern by Jan Mullen. Her site is cute and there are a few freebies, including the house pattern. These were made for a swap. I can't wait to see what my partners come up with for me!

Hello Swap-botters!
Welcome to my boring blog! I never seem to have much to say! I have been busy making some things for swap-bot though. Recycled materials ATCs, a zombie, a teeny tiny stuffie and bookmarks. I'm Michele360 on swap-bot and hope to have you as a partner some time!
