I brined a turkey breast using this recipe from Emeril. It has lemon, jalapeno peppers, onions, garlic, spices and orange juice. I used some honeybell tangerines too. I didn't get home until late last night, so I didn't have time to cook it. I hope it isn't too pickled for tonight's dinner. I'm hoping to grill it.
I finished a few items at our guild's Sew Day Saturday. We always have so much fun. What a clever group of quilters. I could spend the day just watching everyone create. I gave the free motion quilting a try on the bird quilt, made some cross blocks, and finished the binding on the Pineapple Hazard table runner. I thought I worked on more things, but I may have been socializing and eating more than sewing!
Speaking of birds, check out my birds nest updo! I think I broke it a bit on the ride home with the window open, but it was just for practice. My son's friend is studying cosmetology and needed an updo model. Anytime someone wants to call me a model, I'm there! I went to prom afterward. Ha! I went to the grocery store. But I danced a little in the aisles as usual. ;)
Let us know how the turkey turns out. It looks like it will be very flavorful and I need recipes with flavor.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the flavors. Bet it will be really yummy!
